Founded in Lisbon, O QUADRO is a community of filmmakers and video artists dedicated to discovering local talent, connecting creative professionals, and inspiring projects and collaborations within Portugal’s film scene.
Since its first showcase in July of 2021, O QUADRO has brought together Portugal’s filmmaking community through more than 60 showcases, workshops, lectures, and special events — featuring the work of over 100 local film-related professionals, including, but not limited to, directors, editors, cinematographers, actors, and stylists..
OUR PURPOSE
O QUADRO serves as a bridge between Portuguese and international filmmakers, as well as between different genres and practices within film and video art. By uniting diverse voices and fostering creative exchange, we aim to strengthen Portugal’s film community and inspire the next generation of stories and visual work to emerge from it.
Founder
Paul S. Tracey, the founder of O QUADRO, is an actor, filmmaker, and multidisciplinary curator based in Lisbon. Originally from Reno–Tahoe, he studied in Rome and began his career in film production in San Francisco before transitioning to acting and moving to Los Angeles. In 2020, he relocated to Lisbon, where he founded O QUADRO to discover local talent, connect creative professionals, and inspire collaboration within Portugal’s film community.
